Growing up, James and his brothers would play in the woods, often getting minor injuries that they healed through prayer, thanks to their faith in Christian Science. Later, his family moved to a ranch where animals and nature surrounded him. Although he earned a degree in agriculture, James felt a more vital call to help others through Christian Science healing.
